After about 8 years the batteries on my old Braun Shaver would not hold a charge so I replaced it with this model. Even when it was new I don’t remember it working this good. I had a lot of ingrown hairs on my neck and this shaver does a great job. It’s worth the money for me. I am very happy with it.

Customer Review: Shouldn’t ruin your life or anything, but you can do better.
Kind of uncomfortable. Not especially close–or fast. Pretty loud, with a noise that gets pretty grating early in the morning. Strong vibration gets annoying on the hand. Ergonomics would be good, except you constantly have to readjust finger pressure to keep the trimmer from sliding up. It charges reasonably quickly, but is not impressive holding a charge. The pop-up trimmer cuts very well (one of the best I’ve used) but it doesn’t pop up far enough, so you can’t see what you’re trimming. About the only strong point is that it shaves very thoroughly–it doesn’t leave any errant hairs uncut. The hard case seemed like a good idea, but it isn’t big enough to hold both the shaver and the cord. The shaver doesn’t come with a pop-on head guard, so you have to use the case even for daily storage. The case has a cheap flex hinge, so will have to be replaced at some point. This shaver’s purpose seems to be to convince you you have to buy a more expensive model. I took another tack and went back to Norelco. I think the rotary technology is better and more durable than foil heads, and Norelcos are much much quieter.

Customer Review: Factory Reconditioned? Blades not sharp. I’m sure a new one would be good.
I use this every now and then but it takes forever to get a decent shave, probably will be last refurb I ever buy. I have the feeling if I bought a new set of blades it would be night and day. If something is sold as a refurb isn’t it supposed to be inspected and brought up to factory standards. As far as construction of unit and battery life they are fine. I happened to be writing a review for a brilliant Oral Breeze irrigator when other products I bought came up for review so decided to state my piece on this even though I’ve had it for six months or more. I’m convinced it is a good product and design, but was sent out with worn out blades. I’ve never been much of an electric shaver fan but using a friend’s at his weekend house was impressed - totally different experience than what I received. I should have complained right away. I’m told that most refurbs are not done at the factory but contracted out to refurb houses, I can’t imagine Braun (a company I’ve always respected) sending out a unit like this. You would think blades, even as a matter of hygiene, would be totally replaced in a refurb.
Customer Review: Great, long lasting Razor
I’ve had this razor for over 5 years, and it works just as well now as it did when I bought it. The little cleaner device hasn’t held up so well, but it’s largely superfluous anyway.
